Agim Jimmy Jusufi of Yorkville, Benedictine student and Master of Public Health advisory board member, featured in national publication

2013 Jul 15

Master of Public Health student Agim Jimmy Jusufi of Yorkville was featured in an edition of The Nation’s Health, the major publication of the American Public Health Association, for participating in National Public Health Week activities at Benedictine University.

Jusufi is a member of the Master of Public Health Student Advisory Panel at Benedictine University, which presented detailed poster boards and conducted interactive activities with the University's undergraduate and graduate students.

For four hours each day, advisory panel students spoke with other students about health issues facing their communities, such as the dangers of texting and driving, how to prevent fires in the home and how to volunteer in the community. Interactive games included a "Family Feud" style trivia game.

Throughout the week, more than 200 students participated in the activities. Each day of National Public Health Week, advisory panel members staffed a table in the Krasa Center for two hours during lunch and in Kindlon Hall for two hours in the late afternoon.

Other members of the Student Advisory Panel include Hina Khan of Glendale Heights, Maria Villagomez of Willowbrook, Monica Mercader of Joliet, Elsie Divinagracia of Roselle, Vishal Kinkhabwala of Naperville, Michelle Bradley of Chicago, Saifeddin Krewi of Downers Grove and Rabia Mukhtar of Lombard.
